Bassmint Music to relaunch Bassmintmusic.com

(Columbus Ohio)- Bassmint Music Inc. (BmMI), an online record label (i-label) and music publishing company, since 2001, are preparing the re-launch of it's online music store Bassmintmusic.com. The new date is 28, June 2007. Bassmint launched its Beta v1.0 online music store back on 28, September 2005 [see Find New Music in Bassmint (Hugel, W., 2005) & Apple's iPod dominates the MP3 Scene" (Stanley, L., 2005).]

Bassmint's, president & CEO Jerry Calliste Jr. (BIO) said, "We pushed the date back to coincide with the release of several new artists projects and the close of the second quarter '07. If we have to push the date back another quarter in order to provide more time for the team to create the new look and feel we are looking for we will do so." When asked about the new design, Calliste Jr. said, " Bassmintmusic.com Beta v2.0 is a streamlined version of Beta v1.0." "We learned a lot during our first launch and feel these changes were necessary. There's no need to rush things. We are excited about the re-launch. We also wanted to give our design team and programmers as much time as they need to deliver a quality product."

Calliste Jr., born in the Bronx, New York where he lived until he was about 5 years old then raised in North Manhattan (Inwood - Washington Heights area), moved to Ohio in 1993 and originally founded Bassmintmusic.com in 1999 to support local club promotions in Columbus. This seasoned recording artists, producer, songwriter and entertainment industry executive, of 23 years recognized an opportunity was in the making during the Napster years. So he decided back in 2001, to incorporate Bassmintmusic.com, research the feasibility of selling entertainment products as online media - MP3s and launched Bassmint Music Inc. He also decided to locate Bassmint's corporate office in Columbus, Ohio.

"Columbus, Ohio is made up of genuinely 'good people' and a solid student population that creates a great atmosphere that's comfortable to live and work in." says Calliste Jr. " The Ohio State University has the largest student populated campus in the nation with 50,000 plus students. In addition there are at least 6 neighboring colleges and universities, that collectively offer Bassmint an opportunity to instantaneously and cost effectively test our entertainment products to our target demographic." Calliste Jr. is currently a double major, I.T. & M.I.S./Vantage MBA student attending the Ross School of Management & Leadership at Franklin University also located in Columbus, Ohio.

In addition to the new look and feel of the online store, Bassmint will implement a new promotions strategy and feature new artists. "Bassmint has signed new independent artists whom the company will feature during the re-launch." He adds, "We are always looking to sign, market, promote and sell talented independent artists who create many styles of music."

Bassmint will continue to sell MP3s and add CD sales to the new store. The creation of ring tones and licensing deals for wearable merchandise is underway. It's also worth mentioning that the redesign of Bassmint's record label and music publishing company web site BMMI.BIZ will immediately follow the re-launch of Bassmintmusic.com. Calliste Jr. said "One site at a time, one site at a time."
