Electro star not Hashim Music LER CD delayed

(Columbus, Ohio) - Bassmint Music Inc. , an online music company since 2001, announced today that it will partner with long time music publisher Hashim Music and release new songs mixed and produced by legendary electro, hip-hop, funk songwriter and producer Jerry Calliste Jr.

It should be noted for the record that Jerry Calliste Jr.'s artists name is not Hashim Music. Hashim Music is the name of a music publishing company registered with ASCAP for 24 years. Hashim Music is the co-publisher for, among others, the popular old school hip hop-electro songs "B Boys Breakdance" by the High Fidelity Three, "We Come To Rock", "Live It Up" by the Imperial Brothers, "Crimes of Passion" by Soft Touch and "I Don't Need Your Love" By Hashim featuring Jai Sims.

Jerry Calliste Jr. is better known throughout the hip hop and electro music scenes for his songwriting and production prowess on "Al-Naafiysh (The Soul)" released on Cutting Records in 1983. "Al-Naafiysh" or as many people refer to the song by it's B-side intro "It Time" is considered an old school hip hop and definitive electro funk classic. A DJ must have for their crates. The song appears on over 60+ dance music compilations worldwide.

The new songs written and produced by Jerry Calliste Jr. will be featured on a full length CD as Hashim Music presents... Authentic Electro Star Productions, "Limited Edition Releases (L.E.R.)" (see www.hashimmusic.com for more details). The tracks that comprise the full length CD will also be available in MP3 and ring tone formats.

"Limited Edition Releases (L.E.R.)" will be released once Jerry Calliste Jr. has had an opportunity to complete additional songs and co-productions. "We had a Summer release date in mind but decided to work on additional songs and release the debut CD later in the year" says Calliste.

Out of the Bassmint camp where Jerry Calliste Jr. is also president & CEO there is no word on exactly when the LER CD will drop. Calliste said, "We anticipate releasing L.E.R. before the end of 2007."
